Star was a Swedish girl group who made synth-rock music. This is their remake of Kiss' post-makeup single (which, incidentally, I sang at karaoke this weekend. ;) They later renamed themselves Starz!? (due to another group with the same name) and released the album Party, available on the Isle Of Deserted Pop Stars!). Obviously their success was limited. DeleteI remember back in October of 1999 Mtv was doing stuff for their Mtv Europe awards. I saw a clip of the Heavens on Fire video when they showed the Nordic top five. I found this clip interesting. I searched for this on Amazon.com and bought the CD single. I live in the US were nobody has ever heard of these gals. Too bad they never had a crossover hit here in the US.
ReplyDeleteDoess anybody know much more about this group, if how they formed, if they were put together by producers (much like the Spice Girls)? Id like to see a wikipedia file on them or something. I also wonder were they got their idea or their color coded outfits look. Their mix of dance and rock was great, too.
