Lizzie Tear was a lovely British lass who had promise that was unfortunately never fully realized. She was signed and produced by the group ABC, and an EP, Enter The Lizard, was released as well as several singles in the late 1980s. This track is indeed an ode to the Marvel superhero. The Radical Mix is by Tim Simenon of Bomb The Bass and Nellee Hooper of Soul II Soul, but is mostly instrumental. I prefer the Apocalypse Surf Mix, which is a lost freestyle classic, IMO, in the vein of Mantronix.

Hello. Please can you kindly upload this Lizzie Tear single again? It's mainly the 'Radical' Mix I want to hear? I can't even find it on youtube!
ReplyDeleteThank you in advance.
Regards Tulp
It has been reupped. ;)
DeleteThank you for the re-up. Much appreciated. I'm a big fan of Tim Simenon/Bomb The Bass. In fact, I love Don't Make Me Wait. One of the best Freestyle tracks ever (& made in the U.K.!!). It's a shame Simenon never made any further freestyle type tracks. Disappointed with the Radical Mix. I was expecting much more :-( Yes, the Apocalypse Surf Mix is much better. Any ideas on the credits for this mix? Thank you again for sharing and keep searching out those lost treasures!!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome! The Apocalypse Surf Mix was mixed by the song's original producers Mark White and Martin Fry, who were part of the group ABC. ;)
